Set up AutoMod
AutoMod checks messages as they are sent. It can block content, alert your team, or time out a member when a rule matches.

| Bad Words | Words and phrases you provide. |
| Spam | Repeated messages and message frequency. |
| Link Filtering | Links, with an allowed-domain list. |
| Mention Spam | Too many mentions in one message. |
| Mass Caps | Excessive uppercase English text. |
| Discord Invites | Discord server invite links. |
Create a safe rule
- Choose a rule and click Setup.
- Add keywords, domains, or the mention limit for that rule.
- Exempt only the roles and channels that need it.
- Choose Block Message, Send Alert, or Timeout.
- Select a log channel or timeout duration when required.
- Save and test in a private channel.
Start with blocking and alerts
Review results for a day before adding Timeout. This catches overly broad words or limits without punishing members.
Rule not running?
- Confirm it is saved.
- Check exempt roles and channels.
- Verify message and timeout permissions.
- Use domains such as
youtube.comin the allowed-domain list.
