Get started
Invite Wicks to your server
Invite Wicks from the official link, then place its role in the right position. The whole setup should only take a few minutes.
Before you start
- You must own the server or have the
Manage Serverpermission. - Sign in with the Discord account that can access the server.
- Only use the invite link available on
wicks.bot.
Invite the bot
- Open the official Wicks invite.
- Choose your server from the Add to Server menu.
- Keep the requested permissions selected, then click Authorize.
- Complete the verification and return to your server.
What should you see?
Wicks appears in the member list, and Discord creates a Wicks role for it automatically.
Put the Wicks role in the right place
In Discord, open Server Settings → Roles, then drag the Wicks role above every role it needs to assign or manage.
For example, if Wicks should assign the Support Team role, its own role must sit above Support Team in the list.
Role order matters
A bot cannot manage a member or role above its own role—even when it has the Administrator permission.
Check the basic permissions
Wicks usually needs:
View ChannelsandSend Messagesto reply in channels.Embed LinksandAttach Filesto send cards and images.Manage Rolesfor color and level roles.Manage Channelsto create tickets and manage channels.View Audit Logfor logs and protection.
Moderation commands such as banning members or clearing messages need their matching Discord permissions as well.
Can’t see your server?
Open the Wicks Dashboard with the same account. If the server is missing:
- Make sure you have
Manage Serverthere. - Sign out of the Wicks website, then sign in again.
- Check that Wicks is already a member of the server.
