First setup checklist

Use this checklist after inviting Wicks. Set up the essentials first, then enable only the modules your community needs.

1. Set the basics​

  • Choose the bot language and default Embed color.
  • Move the Wicks role above roles it will manage.
  • Select safe automatic roles for new members and bots when needed.

2. Prepare staff channels​

  • A private moderation-log channel.
  • A protection-alert channel.
  • A ticket category and ticket-log channel.
  • A welcome or level-up channel when you use those modules.

3. Add safety gradually​

Enable logs first, add simple AutoMod rules, then configure moderator-role protection with limits your team can review. Avoid strong punishments before testing.

4. Test as a regular member​

  1. Trigger a test Auto Reply or AutoMod rule.
  2. Open a ticket and check that only the member and support team can see it.
  3. Run a general command and a moderation command with the right account.
  4. Confirm the event appears in the selected log channel.
