General settings

Start here before other modules. These settings control the language Wicks uses in Discord, the default Embed color, and roles assigned to new members.

Basics

• Bot Language: the language Wicks uses inside Discord. It does not change the dashboard language.
• Default Embed Color: used by messages that do not have their own color. Check the preview for readability.

Automatic roles

Select one group of roles for new users and another for new bots. Never add administrative or sensitive roles to these lists.

1. Choose roles under User Roles or Bot Roles.
2. Make sure the Wicks role is above them in Discord.
3. Click Save changes.
4. Test with a new test member or bot.

Keep auto roles safe

Every new account receives the selected role immediately. Use basic roles such as Member or Bot, not roles with management permissions.

Role not assigned?

• Check the Wicks role position.
• Confirm Manage Roles.
• Make sure the saved role still exists.
• Test with someone who joins after saving; auto roles are not retroactive.
